The region is packed with art galleries, including those found in Hunter and the nearby village of Woodstock. Groups can enjoy a variety of music and cultural festivals hosted in the area. Architectural landmarks including covered bridges and historic homes such as Cedar Grove, the home of Hudson River Art School founder Thomas Cole, and Olana, the home of Frederic Church.
Baseball Hall of Fame and Museums
Area museums cover a wide range of interests! Cooperstown, NY and the National Baseball Hall of Fame are 90 minutes from Hunter Mountain. Art museums include the Fennimore Art Museum, with its Native American and American exhibits. Transportation buffs will enjoy several options, including the Empire State Railway Museum and the Hudson River Maritime Museum. And that’s just a small sampling!

Hunter Mountain is proud to offer its Orvis-Certified Fly Fishing School. The legendary beauty of the Catskills makes the perfect backdrop for a round of golf. The mountains offer challenging courses unlike those found in the flatlands, adding another dimension to the game. The area features nearly 50 antique shops and galleries, all within a short drive of the Kaatskill Mountain Club. There are also dozens of local artisans and craftspeople.

Snowtubing
